HANAC Senior Programs
HANAC offers an extensive network of services designed to serve the needs of the elderly, as well as their families and caregivers. These programs provide the assistance necessary to enable New York City’s senior population to live healthy, productive lives within their own homes and communities.
We operate four full-service Senior Centers, four Hellenic Senior Community Service Centers, and a Naturally Occurring Retirement Community (NORC) – in various areas of Queens, Brooklyn, Manhattan and The Bronx – as well as a Senior Transportation Program in Queens.
HANAC also offers a Caregivers Program to assist anyone who is caring for a senior over the age of 60.
Senior Centers
These Senior Centers give an opportunity for those aged 60 and above to gather in a congenial environment to participate in activities that will enhance their ability to reside in their homes and remain active and involved in their community. These are year round programs that generally operate six days a week.
